The PortaSCSI-II is a high performance "plug and play" solution for the expansion needs of laptop/notebook computers or computers having no available expansion slots or PC Card / PCMCIA sockets. Using the PortaSCSI-II portable SCSI adapter requires no tools or "lifting the case", making it a snap to install. You won't be inconvenienced by internal terminators, jumpers or software resets again. There are no interface cards, expansion slots, Card and Socket services or hardware conflicts to worry about. Applications include software upgrades from a portable CD-ROM, portable tape backups and sharing SCSI peripherals, like SyQuest drives, scanners or external hard drives. The PortaSCSI-II, when combined with PC Card audio and speakers, provides the most cost effective upgrade path for full MPC-II multimedia applications on older notebook / laptop computers.
